Our GFR19c began its season in May, competing at FSAE Michigan against 119 other teams. Beginning with static events, GFR19c placed 8th in Design, just shy of Design Finals, and an incredible first place in Business Presentation! For dynamics events, the combustion car had a very successful set of dynamic days. On day one, the team was able to set a 4.606 second acceleration run, placing 34th overall, a skidpad time of 5.001 seconds placed GFR19c 4th overall, and a 3rd place autocross finish setting the team up for an exciting day two of dynamic events, running with our closest competitors. A successful completion of the endurance event closed out the day for the team with an 11th place finish.
All together, GFR19c was able to attain a 5th place spot overall for FSAE Michigan. We are looking forward to the cCar’s upcoming performance during its European competition season!
