This year just like every other year, Global Formula Racing and the combustion car team took the trip out to Dallesport Washington for the annual Dallesport Shootout. This trip every year is a great team bonding experience as well as a chance to meet and enjoy time with other teams in the pacific northwest. We were able to have Washington State University, University of Washington, Oregon Technical Institute, and Portland State University come out to Dallesport to come drive with us! This is a great opportunity for GFR team members to see other team’s cars and meet more great people in the formula student community.
This year the Dallesport Shootout was a three-day venture being on Veterans Day weekend going that Friday, Saturday and Sunday. All the teams come out and everyone sets up tents and we all camp out together for the weekend. This trip also gives GFR the opportunity to have new team members get to drive the car a feel what it is all about. It is always a great feeling to see new team members faces glowing when they get out of the car for the first time.
Overall the Dallesport Shootout just like every year was a great success and it is always a trip everyone looks forward to every year!
