Silverstone 2010 - Day 2

New day, second round! Today there were the static events. As mentioned yesterday, this is the cost-report, the bussiness- and design-presentation. We were in a good mood and hoped for good results.

First of all, the bussiness-presentation took place, this presentation is for potential customers who should be convinced of the investigation into the project GFR. Since we already won this presentation at the last two events in Michigan and California we were confident of this challange.
Afterwards, there was the cost report. In this report, ever single part which is installed in the car has to be listed and the cost of production at a fictitious production of 1000 cars has to be calculated.
Subsequently, we had the design presentation, in which the race car is presented to the judges. If you can convince the judges of your race car, then you are allowed to take place in the design final, in which the judges want to know every single detail. For that, you need to know your car as good as possible.
Unfortunetaly, there are no results published so far. But at the moment, we are in a good mood and we should be very competitive.

After the theoretical part, all of the drivers had to show whether they could leave the car in 5 seconds. So they had to go to the judges, who stopped the time. As our drivers are really athletic, they had no problems to pass this test.
 
In the end we can look back on a very successful day, with a few small problems while brake-test.
